How to Change Your Mind and Change Your Life

Changing Your Thoughts can Change Your Entire Life.

Let's face it, with the New Year a lot of us have probably made resolutions that have already fallen by  the wayside. But, what I want to explore with you, are not temporary fixes, but, a permanent way to change your thoughts and change your life.

A few years ago I came across one of my now favorite books that have been instrumental in helping me to live a more positive fulfilled life. A book called; "As You Thinketh" by James Allen. In the book they discuss what the Effects of Thought are on our Circumstances. One of my favorite excerpts from the book reads:

"A person does not come to drugs, alcohol, poverty, or prison because of fate or circumstance, but by traveling the path of impure thoughts and desires. Nor does a pure-minded person fall suddenly into a world of crime because of outside forces. Criminal thoughts must have led a secret existence for a long time in the heart, waiting for their hour of opportunity to burst forth. Circumstances do not make or shape you; they reveal you to you. No one ever sinks into vice without an inclination toward negative behavior; nor does anyone ascend into pure happiness without cultivating virtuous thoughts. You, therefore, as the lord and master of your thoughts, are the maker of you; the creator, shaper and author of your environment. Starting at birth, and along every step of its earthly journey, the soul attracts those conditions which reflect its own purity and impurity, its own strengths and weaknesses."

So, my friends, it doesn't matter what your thoughts have lead you to, a life of over-eating, over-shopping, poverty, loneliness, jealousy, procrastination and the list goes on. What's important to note here, is that you can change them, TODAY!  I want you to get on the path of recovery and you can do so, by telling yourself a different story. You can start by just repeating this to yourself daily.
