Why TRESemme's Beauty-Full Volume Reverse Washing System Trumps Co-Washing Anyday

You remember this term, don’t you, “Co-Washing” (It's so last year). Co-Washing is an abbreviated term used to describe conditioner washing, in which you actually cleanse your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo. It has been touted that this is more of an effective method for those with textured or a curlier hair pattern, since the hair tends to need more moisture, and conditioner washing actually cleanses, balances and refreshes your hair without stripping or depleting its natural oils and nutrients and it also helps to define the curl pattern.  However, after continued practice of co-washing some people actually experience dull and limp hair, because of the buildup over time.  And this is where the Ah-ha moment happens: How can one continue to condition the strands, but, cleanse so that there is no build-up.

And that is exactly where reverse washing comes into play. Experts say Reverse Washing works on all hair types, from wavy, curly, thick, straight to course textures.  And, I’m not the expert on everyone’s hair, but, I am an expert on my own, and I am here to tell you that if you have a wavy to curly hair texture this method works.

I will say that at first I was a little skeptical, but, considering how particular and picky I am about the conditioners that I choose, because I don’t want my hair weighed down and I prefer a lot of body and bounce after I’ve completed the washing process, reverse washing only made sense.  Let me explain to you exactly the genius of this idea and how it works. And, oh, I love the softness and body in my hair.

Step 1:  Condition. Wet your hair and work in 2-3 pumps of the pre-wash conditioner to achieve maximum softness. You can leave this on for a few minutes while you shower, dependent upon the level of conditioning that you desire. It's Bounce-friendly formulation, with Fleximax Volumizers and Fiber Polishing Actives, bind to the cuticle to leave hair smooth and polished, even after you shampoo.

Step 2:  Wash your hair with the shampoo, removing any excess conditioner leaving you with soft, conditioned, bouncy hair that has volume. The Unique formulation, with Fleximax Volumizers, helps control static and flyaway, infusing your hair with volume and leaving it prepped for styling.

TRESemme’s new #ReverseYourRoutine collection is revolutionary. They have a full line of Beauty-Full Volume hair stylers, designed to keep your style soft and moveable. And thanks to them and my friends over at Influenster, I actually received this collection free, as though, I wouldn’t have bought it anyway. I am a fan of TRESemme’ and if you want soft and bouncy hair with lots of volume, you’ll become a fan too.
